Welcome to our Hints and Tips Page.

If you have water running out of your gutters and down your wall. Now is a good time to check the condition of your gutters to see if they are blocked after all the leaves have fallen off the trees. An easy way of doing that is to look at your gutters from the ground to see if you can see weeds or a pile of leaves over the top of the guttering, as in the photo opposite. If you can then now is the right time to have them all cleared of debris.
At this time of year when you are accesing your loft space, take a few moments to look at the condition of your ceiling and roof joists. If you see any in the condition like the one in the picture, now is the time to get off from the joists and call someone to get it sorted out and replaced. The joist in the picture is rotten and has also cracked.
